Playing card and dice games with children can be lots of fun. It is also a great opportunity to teach sportsmanship and common courtesy like always keep your cards above the table, don’t touch someone else’s cards or dice until they are done with them, etc. These games are ones that everyone at the North Pole enjoys playing – myself, Mrs. Claus and the Elves. Over the years I have found that children also enjoy them and, once they learn the rules, can be quite good at playing, often beating adults and older children.

So next time you can, organize a quiet evening at home for the whole family (or most of it), start a game of cards or dice and have FUN!
